Synopsis

Opening the Legends of the Emerged World trilogy some fifty years after the earlier wars, the Emerged World is now at peace across kingdoms such as the Land of the Sun, the Land of Wind, and the Land of Water. Adhara, a mysterious girl with no memory of her past, is found awakening alone in a meadow and is brought into the royal court ruled by King Learco and Queen Dubhe, where she becomes entangled in courtly affairs during this rare interval of calm. Amhal, an apprentice Dragon Knight, and San, a half-elf returning to the world after decades away, are also drawn into the unfolding events. As a strange and grotesque plague begins spreading through the kingdoms and San's influence over Amhal grows troubling, Adhara is pushed to seek out her own true identity and purpose.

Notes

  • From the series record (Legends of the Emerged World): Second direct continuation trilogy in the same Mondo Emerso world, set roughly fifty years after Wars of the Emerged World, published by Mondadori (2008-2010). No English translation is documented to date.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
