Synopsis
Agone, a young noble from the barony of Rochronde, has settled in the city of Lorgol in a world of fairies, sprites and ogres where magic works through tiny creatures called Danseurs. They can be treated as partners in harmony with a mage, or enslaved through the dark art of Obscurity. Agone works as a guard at the inn L'Étincelle in Lorgol. He soon clashes with Orchal, a mage of the Obscurantist school. Agone then uncovers a plot by a rival mage, Lershwin, to massacre the leading mages of the realm, and he must stop it with the help of allies and a guard of stone gargoyles.
