Overview

Les Chroniques des Crépusculaires is a French fantasy cycle by Mathieu Gaborit, begun in 1995 with Souffre-Jour. Agone, a young aristocrat, refuses his inheritance and is drawn into the plots of the Collège du Souffre-Jour in a world of farfadets, fairies, ogres and mages. The trilogy was followed by the Abyme novels, set in the city of Abyme, where the retired thief Maspalio investigates an escaped demon. Both are set in the same world, called the Harmonde in the related role-playing games. A new pair of Abyme novels began in 2018 with Les Nouveaux Mystères d'Abyme and continued in 2022 with Flamboyance.
