Synopsis

Published only two months after A Última Feiticeira, the second volume follows directly from the dramatic events that closed the first. Catelyn, the young sorceress heir to Aranwen's imprisoned power, is carried off by her captors to the Ancient Land, the old country of the North from which the saga's magic descends. There, among the people who now hold her and whose ways she must learn, she begins to discover the threads that weave her own destiny together with theirs, and the meaning of the pact of love and blood that the Stone of Time has guarded since Aranwen's day. The title names the man at the centre of her fate: Throst, the Wolf Warrior of the North, whose bond with Catelyn becomes the founding love of a saga that will follow their descendants for three generations.

Notes

  • From the series record (A Saga das Pedras Mágicas): Sandra Carvalho's eight-volume Portuguese epic fantasy (Editorial Presença, Via Láctea, 2005-2013): three generations of a Northern family, from the sorceress Catelyn and the Wolf Warrior Throst to their daughters and granddaughter, bound to the seven magic stones in which the sorceress Aranwen imprisoned her power and to the Stone of Time that guards her pact of love and blood.
