Synopsis
Set five centuries before the trilogy's main conflict, in the human kingdom of Vinnengael under King Tamaros, the story follows the king's two sons: gentle heir Prince Helmos and his ambitious half-brother Prince Dagnarus. Gareth, chosen as Dagnarus's whipping boy, grows into his closest friend and confidant as the princes come of age. While Tamaros seeks a powerful talisman said to lie in darkness to secure the kingdom, Dagnarus's hunger for power and Gareth's own descent into forbidden Void magic set in motion a betrayal that will threaten the fragile peace among Loerem's peoples for generations to come.
