Overview
The Second Sons Trilogy is a completed epic fantasy series by Australian author Jennifer Fallon, set on Ranadon, a world lit by two suns that never sees true night. Dirk Provin, a temple-raised second son, rescues a shipwrecked stranger who turns out to be the exiled king of a neighbouring land — a discovery that draws the attention of Antonov, the tyrannical Lion of Senet, and the powerful priesthood whose official astronomical faith controls the realm. As Dirk works as an apprentice physician, he is drawn deeper into a decades-long web of political and religious deception, a conspiracy that widens across the second book’s exile and investigation into the ruined city of Omaxin, and resolves in the third as Dirk infiltrates the religious order itself to bring it down from within.
