Synopsis
The third novel in the main Nightside sequence finds private investigator John Taylor venturing deeper into the hidden supernatural district of London to uncover why a famous singer known as the Nightingale has withdrawn from everyone who loves her, isolating herself from friends, family, and fans alike. As he investigates, Taylor discovers that the Nightingale's unnaturally beautiful singing voice may carry a hidden, literally deadly cost for the devoted audiences who come to hear it. Taylor is drawn into the singer's private world and the machinations surrounding her seclusion, forced to weigh what he learns about her gift against the harm it may already be causing those closest to her.

Notes
- From the series record (The Nightside main sequence): No further main-sequence novel has been found published since The Bride Wore Black Leather (2012); a short-story collection, Tales from the Nightside (2015), exists in the same setting but is not catalogued in this admission. No confirmed major-award nomination was found for this series after a genuine search; this is an honest "none found," not an unresolved lead.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
