Overview
Gods of the Caravan Road is a five-novel epic fantasy sequence by Canadian author K. V. Johansen, published by Pyr from 2011 to 2019. It is set in a world where gods are dying and caravan roads link distant lands. It begins with Holla-Sayan, a caravan guard who is possessed by the shapeshifting spirit Blackdog while protecting a girl who is the incarnation of a goddess. The Leopard and The Lady (Marakand, volumes one and two) follow a year later in the city of Marakand and tell one story in two parts. Gods of Nabban moves east, and The Last Road concludes the sequence. The author's site calls the series complete.
