Overview
Household Gramarye opens with Isabella Nagg and the Pot of Basil, a comic cozy fantasy about an unhappy homemaker in the village of East Grasby whose husband steals a magical grimoire from the local wizard. When Isabella starts experimenting with its spells herself, she accidentally creates talking animals, befriends a grouchy cat-like companion, and finds herself far more capable than anyone around her expected. The novel draws loosely on Boccaccio's Decameron and is the fiction debut of Oliver Darkshire, previously known for a bookselling memoir.
