Overview
The Black Iron Legacy is a trilogy by Gareth Hanrahan, published by Orbit from 2019 to 2021. It is set in and around Guerdon, a neutral city of alchemical factories loosely modelled on nineteenth-century Europe, while a Godswar between powerful gods and their human followers rages in the surrounding lands. The Gutter Prayer follows three young thieves, Cari, Spar and Rat, and the disaster that changes the city. The Shadow Saint turns to Eladora, Terevant and a shapeshifting spy as the war closes in. The Broken God follows Cari's search for a cure for Spar in Khebesh. No fourth novel has been published.
