Robert M. Wegner is a Polish fantasy writer. His first published story, Ostatni lot nocnego kowboja, appeared in the magazine Science Fiction in 2002. His main work is the cycle Opowieści z meekhańskiego pogranicza, which combines epic and war fantasy with light Slavic touches and builds the geography, history, cultures and political systems of the Meekhan Empire from his earliest stories on. The first two volumes, published by Powergraph in 2009 and 2010, gather stories first printed in magazines; the novels followed from 2012. He has won the Janusz A. In 2014 he received the Encouragement Award of the European Science Fiction Society, and in 2016 the Russian magazine Mir Fantastiki recognised the series. His books have appeared in Russian, Czech and Ukrainian translations.
