Overview

Jennifer Fallon's Hythrun world holds four nations, atheist Medalon ruled by the Sisters of the Blade, god-ridden Karien, and Hythria and Fardohnya in the south, and the Harshini, the long-lived race who speak with the gods and command their demons. The Demon Child trilogy (2000-2001) follows R'shiel, the half-Harshini demon child prophesied to destroy a god, and the warlord Damin Wolfblade; the prequel Wolfblade trilogy (2004-2005) follows Damin's mother Marla from bartered bride to the power behind Hythria's throne, schooled in the Rules of Gaining and Wielding Power by the dwarf Elezaar; the War of the Gods sequence (2016-) returns ten years on as the theft of a goddess's lyre sets the gods at war. Political intrigue, capricious gods and a famous love-hate romance; three series, one world.
