Overview
The Wars of Light and Shadow is Janny Wurts's own solo epic fantasy saga, following the exiled half-brothers Arithon and Lysaer across a world-spanning conflict over five story arcs. Wurts is already credited in this canon as co-author of the Empire trilogy within Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar Cycle; this eleven-volume sequence is her own, wholly separate, solo-authored world, begun in 1994 and finished thirty years later with Song of the Mysteries.
