Overview
The Saga of Recluce is L.E. Modesitt Jr.'s long-running secondary-world sequence built around a central philosophical tension between Order and Chaos, told across many internally chronological sub-arcs rather than one continuous cast of characters. The first volume, The Magic of Recluce, appeared in 1991; the author has continued adding new volumes every few years since, with the most recent published entries dated 2025.
